Jen has worked at Heritage since 2009 and filled several positions including Courier, GS Team Lead, IEP Coordinator, Outreach and Admissions. While raising three children Jen opened a pre-school which she operated for several years. Her husband, Steve began working at Heritage in 1995. Based on her own experiences as a mother of three children with distinctly different learning styles, Jen had utilized Heritage’s relationship approach as she tried to deepen her understanding of how each child learns differently. When the timing was right, Jen transitioned from working with preschoolers to working with adolescents. Although the physical size of the students she worked with had noticeably changed, she recognized the needs of each individual do not diminish with age. Jen is known for her innate ability to connect with those she works with. With a sincere and compassionate approach, Jen aims to create an environment where each person she works with feels valued and important. She strongly believes Heritage provides tools that can transform individual students as well as entire family systems.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, improving her photography skills, as well as participating in variety of outdoor activities.
