VISION To maximize the growth, development and functioning of our clients. We hope to continually expand each individual's capabilities and quality of life, and to build future leaders, responsible adults and parents, and productive citizens.

CODE OF ETHICS The Governing Body of Heritage has established the below Statement of Organizational Ethics in recognition of our responsibilities to Heritage clients, personnel, volunteers, visitors, and the communities we serve:
- Recognition and respect for each client receiving care, in harmony with his or her fundamental human, civil, Constitutional, and statutory rights.
- Interaction with all clients, employees, volunteers, visitors, and other associates with dignity, respect, and courtesy.
- Affirmation of the client's right, to the extent permitted by law and circumstances, to make decisions regarding his or her care.
- Acceptance and support, when appropriate, of the family's or significant other's right and opportunity to be involved in the client care process.
- Importance of informing the client's primary physician, caseworker, or other sponsor of the client's status.
- Fair and accurate representation of Heritage School's capabilities and/or limitations.
- Provision of high value care and related support within the Center's capabilities and resources.
- Avoidance of the provision of services which are unnecessary and/or non-efficacious.
- Adherence to a uniform standard of care throughout the organization.
- Consistent development and implementation of well-designed standards of care.
- Acceptance and treatment of only those clients who can be appropriately cared for at the Heritage School.
- Efficient access for clients who meet Heritage admission criteria.
- Commitment to the continual increase of service value by increasing the quality of care and improving client outcomes.
- Client early discharge or transfer only for clinical/medical purposes.
- Adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
