Today's campus, serving 170 students from across America, represents the collective accomplishment of over 20 years of fiscal discipline, dedicated therapists and educators, and the generosity of corporate and private sponsors. But most of all, the success of Heritage is due to thousands of Heritage graduates whose happy and productive post-Heritage lives have attracted others like them, and their families, to our door.

Because of our emphasis on trust and responsibility, Heritage is an open campus without security fences, relying instead upon staff, therapists and educators with advanced training in behavior management, and a strict code of conduct and responsibility for clients based on mutual respect and self-management. Our spacious, multipurpose Activity Center includes a climbing wall and other indoor athletic facilities, as well as a large, modern cafeteria, and spacious classrooms. The Activity Center also serves as a performing arts auditorium in addition to being used for special events on campus.

Our Therapeutic Riding program at the Heritage Equestrian Center teaches students about trust, positive risk, and caring for other living creatures. Students are guided in basics and safety by equestrian staff. The Equestrian Center, constructed through a generous private contribution, has proven one of the most successful, as well as unique, confidence-building programs at Heritage.

Recreational facilities such as both indoor and outdoor basketball courts, an indoor swimming pool, baseball diamond, and soccer field offer supervised opportunities for group sports and healthy competitiveness, as a key aspect of our mission to serve the whole child. Many clients have never enjoyed access to such facilities before coming to Heritage.
