Heritage Will Host 6th Annual Gala

Provo, Utah, Sept. 14, 2015 – Heritage School in Provo will hold their 6th Annual Heritage Gala on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. in the Heritage Activities Center on Heritage Campus in Provo.

“The theme is “Adventure Awaits,” said McKaye Treanor, development director. “It represents not only all the adventurous things our students get to do, like hiking Timp, skiing and camping, but also preparing them for their life adventure.”

Each year Heritage gives a “Spirit of Heritage” award to a deserving recipient

“The award this year will go to the people who built our Outdoor Adventure Shop,” she said. “They are the Murdock family, Dean Peterson and Keller Williams Westfield. Through their generosity and hard work we now have a bike shop with 20 bikes and dozens of long boards and skateboards.”

Students will be running the whole show this time, McKaye said.

“They will be the emcees, servers, hosts and performers,” she said. Guests will have a passport and can visit with the students about Heritage programs. “All guests who get their passport filled during the silent auction will be eligible to win prizes!”

Many items will be available during silent and live auctions.

“From trips to Hawaii and Belize to river rafting, jewelry and Star Wars items – we really do have something for everyone,” McKaye said.

She said all donations go to Heritage Heroes.

“The donations … provide funding for therapeutic programs and activities for our students,” McKaye said. “We will also be raising money for our Outdoor Adventure Program which includes skiing, mountain biking, boarding and anything that helps our students develop a love for the great outdoors.”
